Trade winds return, likely to bring a few showers

he trade winds have returned to Hawaii and are expected to continue through the weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

The trades will bring a few clouds and showers mainly to windward and mauka areas, forecasters said.

Here's a closer look at what to expect during the next few days:

Today: Mostly sunny, with a high near 82. East wind around 13 mph, with gusts as high as 18 mph.

Tonight: Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a low around 67. East wind around 11 mph, with gusts as high as 18 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Thursday: Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a high near 82. East wind around 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Thursday Night: Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a low around 67. East wind around 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Friday: Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a high near 82. East wind around 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
