Gerard Jervis made his initial court appearance today and a judge set a preliminary hearing for him on April 3.

Jervis is accused of pursuing a group of teenagers in his vehicle and causing them to crash after he claimed they threw eggs at his wife outside their Lanikai residence.

Jervis, wearing a navy blue suit and a black-and-white print tie, made no statement before Judge Russel S. Nagata this morning.

Outside of court, Jervis' attorney, Dan Oyasato, maintained Jervis' innocence, and said the facts will exonerate him.

Today, Nagata granted a motion to order the white SUV the teens were in held so Jervis' attorney could inspect it.
