Library offering several free programs in spring

Kahuku Public & School Library is offering a variety of free programs this spring, including a gardening class and tax preparation.

Lazy Vegetable Gardening by Stella Keil is at 6:30 p.m. March 18 and includes sample tasting.

Residents can learn to make a money lei with Bea Aumua at 6:30 p.m. March 25.

A volunteer tax preparer will be available from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Thursday to help seniors and families with low and middle incomes on a first-come, first-served basis.

Dance Dance Revolution will take place at 1 p.m. March 19, and Take a Hike: Down Memory Lane with Angel Ramos begins at 12:45 p.m. March 27. Ramos will lead walkers through historic sites and talk about the sugar plantation era in Kahuku.

Every Wednesday at 10 a.m. is Keiki Storytime.

The library will be closed March 21 for Good Friday and March 26 for Prince Kuhio's birthday.
