Parking likely to be scarce at Blaisdell tonight, Saturday

Advertiser Staff

City officials have issued an advisory saying that due to the expected large number of people attending the Kamehameha Schools Song Contest at the Blaisdell Center tonight, there will be increased evening traffic on streets surrounding the complex. Parking is expected to be tight.

Auxiliary parking will be available at McKinley High School. All gates at King and Kapi'olani will be open for parking access after 3 p.m. No left turns are allowed into any Blaisdell parking entrance.

A large number of people are also expected to attend events at the Blaisdell Center on Saturday, as well, so there will be increased daytime and evening traffic on streets surrounding the complex. Please plan ahead as parking may once again be limited.

The King Street gate will be open all day Saturday and the Kapi'olani gate will be open from 2 p.m. for parking access. Additional evening event parking will be available at McKinley High School and valet parking will be accessible from Ward Avenue.
