Extra show for 'Rap's Hawaii' sold out

By Wayne Harada
Advertiser Staff Writer

"Rap's Hawaii" is sold out, including the extra show, at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, at Tenney Theatre, Saint Andrew's Cathedral grounds.

The theatrical staging of comedic material by the late Rap Reiplinger, adapted by Lee Cataluna, has been selling like the proverbial hotcake from the get-go, with all six shows over a two-weekend public run snapped up. The extension quickly sold out, too, said Louise Lanzilotti, Honolulu Theatre for Youth managing director.

"Those who couldn't get in on any of the Friday and Saturday shows snapped up all the tickets," said Lanzilotti.

If the cast is available, a summer remounting might be possible, said Lanzilotti.
