The criminal trial of Kirk Lankford convened at 10 a.m. at Foodland on Pupukea Road as part of a field trip in which jurors in the case are viewing various locations where the victim, Masumi Watanabe, was last seen by witnesses April 12, 2007.

The stops this morning included the home where Watanabe, 21, was staying.

This afternoon, jurors will be taken to view a series of locations where Lankford is known to have stopped his work vehicle that same day. Prosecutors have said only two of the stops were authorized by Lankford's employer.

The last scheduled stop is at Kahana Bay, where a witness said he encountered Lankford digging a hole around midnight.
