Lawmakers to listen to community concerns

State lawmakers from the Big Island will hold a series of "Legislators Listen" community meetings tomorrow in Hilo, Kea'au, Pahoa, Pahala and Hawaiian Ocean View Estates.

The seven House Democrats and two Senate Democrats will highlight bills still alive at the Legislature, and invite community members to offer their comments and suggestions on issues of public or personal interest.

The meetings will be at 7:30 a.m. at the University of Hawai'i-Hilo University Classroom Building Room 127; at 9 a.m. at the Kea'au Elementary School cafeteria; at 10:30 a.m. at the Pahoa High School cafeteria; at 12:30 p.m. at Cooper Center in Volcano; at 2:30 p.m. at the Ka'u Hospital conference room; and at 4:30 p.m. in HOVE's Kahuku Park.
