Special vote starts today for neighborhood board

A special election for the new Nanakuli-Ma'ili Neighborhood Board No. 36 will be held today and tomorrow to decide which of 24 candidates will occupy the nine at-large seats.

Nanakuli and Ma'ili residents were previously represented by Wai'anae Coast Neighborhood Board No. 24.

Eligible voters from either community can cast ballots today from 2 to 7 p.m. at Kapolei Hale; from 7 a.m. to noon tomorrow at Ma'ili Elementary School cafeteria; or from 1:30 to 6:30 p.m. tomorrow at Ka Waihona O Ka Na'auao Public Charter School Cafeteria (former Nana'ikapono Elementary School at 89-195 Farrington Highway).
