MAUI TRAIL WORK — The Maui Na Ala Hele Trails and Access Program will conduct volunteer trail work tomorrow and March 29 at the Kula Forest Reserve and Polipoli Springs State Park to mitigate storm damage. Call 808-873-3509.

MALAMA NA POHAKU — Join 'Ahahui Malama i ka Lokahi to weed, haul mulch, cut hau and work in wetland bird habitat at Na Pohaku o Hauwahine on Kapa'a Quarry Road, 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. tomorrow. FARRINGTON ALOHA 'AINA— The 38th Aloha 'Aina Recycling Community Cleanup Project will allow residents to dispose of bulky items and recyclables, 8 a.m.-2 p.m. tomorrow at Farrington High School. Accepting HI-5’ containers, eyeglasses, hearing aids, printer cartridges, usable lumber, clothing, scrap metal, auto parts, cooking oil, lawn mowers, newspapers, cardboard, fishing nets and more. KALIHI NATURE PARK — Volunteers needed 8:30 a.m.-noon tomorrow to help land-based health program for Kokua Kalihi Valley; work includes weeding, gardening, removing invasive species and replanting native forests. Meet at 3659 Kalihi St. Community volunteer access days held every third Saturday of the month.

CRATER OVERNIGHTER — The Friends of Haleakala National Park will do cabin maintenance, invasive species removal or other work during March 15-17 service trip to Holua Cabin. MOKAUEA ISLAND PROJECT — Volunteers needed April 19 to help Kai Makana and Mokauea Fishing Village Association create an educational center. WEED & POT CLUB — Maui Nui Botanical Garden's Weed & Pot Club meets 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesdays at 150 Kanaloa Ave. in Kahului to weed, rake, trim, transplant nursery plants, and do other beautification and maintenance work. Tools, gloves and drinking water provided; bring sunscreen, wear shoes.

THURSDAY WORKDAYS — Join the Nature Conservancy from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursdays at the Honouliuli Preserve in Kunia for volunteer work requiring hiking and moderately strenuous activity removing invasive species, clearing trails, monitoring and repairing fences.
