St. Anthony High School's Alan Jahns struck out 15 batters, including nine in a row, as the Trojans won their Maui Interscholastic League opener yesterday at Maehara Stadium, beating Seabury Hall 11-2, in Wailuku.

Jahns gave up a two-run homer in the top of the first inning to Kaikona Hendershot, then allowed just one hit the rest of the way.

Jahns, last year's MIL player of the year, also went 2-for-3 and scored three runs.

Michael Palmer of Seabury Hall (0-2) pitched a complete game, striking out five.

Matt McCraney hit a three-run homer in the sixth inning for the Trojans and finished 2-for-3, adding a double, with five RBIs and three runs.

Ryan Rodriguez doubled in all three of his at-bats, drove in two runs and scored once. Aaron Uehara was 2-for-3 with three RBIs.

At Maehara Stadium, Baldwin's Brock Shishido Shishido threw a two-hitter, striking out eight.

Shishido also went 3-for-3 with a ground-rule double. Skyler Cabacungan was 2-for-2, and Kaulana Ching was 2-for-2.

The Bears are now 2-0, and have outscored their opponents 29-0 in eight innings.

Kealii Ribao pitched a complete game for Na Ali'i (0-1) and had a double.
