Prosecutors yesterday charged a 39-year-old man with allegedly throwing a rock at a moving vehicle Friday morning in Nanakuli.

Christopher Daniel Kahaaina, who listed no permanent local address at booking, was charged with first-degree criminal property damage. His bail is $40,000 pending an initial appearance at District Court tomorrow.

Kahaaina was arrested fronting 89-605 Pohakunui Ave. at 8:28 a.m., about 43 minutes after he allegedly threw a rock at a vehicle on Farrington Highway, shattering the front windshield. The 49-year-old female motorist was not seriously injured.

Kahaaina, who has 16 prior criminal convictions, is also being held on an outstanding $350 misdemeanor warrant.
