A 23-year-old man arrested Thursday for allegedly driving a stolen car was charged Friday night with auto theft and first-degree promotion of a dangerous drug.

Zorro R. Rye, who gave police no local address, was released yesterday after posting $35,000 bail.

Police stopped Rye on Pauoa Road near Nu'uanu Avenue at 12:51 p.m. Thursday in a vehicle reported stolen by an auto dealership. During booking, police allegedly found two baggies containing narcotics.
