2 men arrested for damaging car in Waikiki

Advertiser Staff

Two 19-year-old men from the Leeward Coast were arrested early today in Waikiki for allegedly smashing the front and rear windshields of a car.

The men, from Wai'anae Valley and Ma'ili, were arrested at 2255 Kuhio Ave. at 4:20 a.m. for investigation of first-degree criminal property damage. Both were later released pending further investigation.

Police said two men, both 20, and a woman, 19, were leaving a nightclub in a 2003 Chrysler when the suspects allegedly used bottles to break the windshields. One of the victims suffered minor scratches from the shattered glass, police said.
