Advertiser Staff

The Women of Our World, Inc., a Hawai'i-based corporation, will stage "The Women's World Festival" for the first time Oct. 10 and 11 at the Hawai'i Convention Center.

The event will feature diverse activities in art, culture, fashion and lifestyle, with musical and dance performances. The intent is to showcase women around the globe through song, poetry, literature, painting, design and other forms of creativity.

Art will be exhibited; a silent auction is planned.

Female artists, exhibitors, inventors and designers are sought. Participants will be chosen on the basis of the number of applicants, with selection based on a balanced and varied presentation. Applications are due by April 4.

For information and to download an application, go to www.womenofourworld.com.

WooW also is recruiting volunteers of event production and direction.

A portion of the event's proceeds will benefit Joshua's Continuing Education Foundation (JCEF), a non-profit organization that helps expand the education of individuals with special needs, including mental retardation and under-educated or neglected adults. WooW Inc. also sponsors various women's organizations that provide services to empower and support women locally and nationally.
