NFL: Texans trade draft pick to Denver OL

Associated Press

HOUSTON — The Houston Texans traded their sixth-round pick in April's draft Monday to Denver for center Chris Myers .

The 6-foot-4, 300-pound Myers, drafted by the Broncos in the sixth round of the 2005 draft, played in 41 games for Denver, including 16 starts last season. He was a rookie when Texans coach Gary Kubiak was Denver's offensive coordinator.

Myers, a former standout at Miami, (Fla.), started the first five games of 2007 at left guard, then slid inside to center for the last 11 games. The Broncos' offense averaged 346.3 yards per game, ranking 11th in the NFL, and their 4.6 yards-per-carry average was fifth-best in the league.
