Survived by daughters, Frances Doaks, and Terry and Donna; sons, Leroy and John Miranda, and Robert, Randy and Davey Avilla; sisters, Janie Bearden, Carol McAvoy and Mary Ann Balbin; brothers, Stanley Balbin and Bill Cepress; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren. VIOLET MONIZ, 94, of Honolulu, died Feb. 27, 2008. Born in Honolulu. Homemaker.
