NEWARK, Del. — T.J. Jordan celebrated her 22nd birthday in perfect fashion — helping cut down the nets after yet another championship.

Jordan and Tiffany Green each scored 15 points and No. 14 Old Dominion rallied from an 18-point deficit to win its 17th consecutive Colonial Athletic Association tournament championship with a 71-64 victory over Virginia Commonwealth yesterday.

Jazzmin Walters contributed 12 points and Shahida Williams, the tournament's Most Outstanding Player, had 10 for the top-seeded Lady Monarchs (29-4), who improved to 50-0 in CAA tournament games since joining the league before the 1991-92 season.

"Oh yeah, 22," Jordan said of her birthday. "It's March Madness."

It was the fourth CAA title for seniors Jordan and Williams. It was the third title for Green, who is a junior.

"It means a lot," Green said. "It's a long streak. I didn't want it to break."

Old Dominion coach Wendy Larry picked up her 500th career win at the school in the semifinals. But win No. 501 may have been even sweeter.

"It's a tremendous accomplishment," Larry said.

Krystal Vaughn and D'Andra Moss had 16 points and 10 rebounds each and Radoslava Bachvarova added 15 for VCU (25-7)

IVY LEAGUE

Cornell 64, Dartmouth 47: Moina Snyder and Jeomi Maduka each scored 14 points to help Cornell (20-8) beat the Big Green (15-15) and win the Ivy League playoff in New York, earning the Big Red's first berth in the NCAA tournament.

BIG SOUTH

Liberty 66, Radford 65: Megan Frazee scored the game-winning basket with 0.3 seconds left and had 24 points, helping the Flames (28-3) beat the Highlanders (23-11) in Asheville, N.C., to win their 11th Big South Championship in 12 years and a berth in the NCAA tournament.

NORTHEAST

Robert Morris 86, Long Island 75: Sade Logan scored 18 points and was one of six Colonials (23-9) in double figures in a win over Long Island University (24-8) in Moon Township, Pa. The Colonials earned their second consecutive Northeast Conference championship and an NCAA berth.

MISSOURI VALLEY

Illinois State 70, Drake 62: Kristi Cirone scored 20 points to lead the Redbirds (26-6) over the Bulldogs (22-10) in the championship game of the Missouri Valley Conference in St. Charles, Mo., and an NCAA berth.

HORIZON LEAGUE

Cleveland State 70, Wright State 56: Kailey Klein had 29 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Vikings (19-13) over the Raiders (16-16) in the Horizon League championship in Green Bay, Wis., allowing the Vikings to clinch their first-ever NCAA tournament berth.

AMERICA EAST

Hartford 61, Boston University 45: Lisa Etienne scored 19 points to help the Hawks (27-5) win their fourth America East championship with a victory over the Terriers (20-12) in West Hartford, Conn., and an NCAA berth.
