Advertiser Staff

ANAHOLA – A blessing was held Monday to mark the reopening of the Anahola lifeguard tower located at Anahola Beach Park.

This brings the total number of Kaua'i County beaches now staffed by lifeguards to eight, including: Anahola, Ha'ena, Hanalei, Kealia, Kekaha, Lydgate, Po'ipu and Salt Pond. A lifeguard tower will soon be added to Ke'e Beach.

With the addition of five more lifeguards, the Kaua'i Ocean Safety bureau now has 38 on staff.
