Maui Land & Pine shares moving to NYSE

Maui Land & Pineapple Co. said it will transfer the trading of its stock shares from the American Stock Exchange to the bigger New York Stock Exchange next month.

The move is planned for April 2, and shares will continue to trade under the ticker symbol MLP.

Companies list on the NYSE for numerous reasons, including the expansion of their shareholder base. As part of the NYSE approval process a company must undergo a review by the exchange's financial, corporate governance and listings compliance staff.
