Kajihara keeps UH golf in fourth

Lisa Kajihara shot a 2-under-par 70 yesterday to help the host University of Hawai'i women's golf team hold fourth place after two days of the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational at the Kane'ohe Klipper Golf Course.
The Rainbow Wahine shot 302 for a two-day total of 29-over 605.
Oklahoma State (296) and Arizona (301) share the tournament lead at 11-over 587. Arizona State is third in the 16-team field at 293—594. Hawai'i-Hilo is 15th at 332—660.
Kajihara, a senior from Pukalani, Maui, is tied for sixth at 147. Arizona's Alison Walshe hung on to her lead despite shooting a 74. She leads Arizona State's Anna Nordqvist (69) by two strokes at 140.
Arizona State's Azahara Munoz (70), and Oklahoma State's Pernilla Lindberg (72) and Karin Kinnerud (73) share third at 146.
The final round will be played today.

CHAMINADE SWEEPS
Melissa Harris hit an RBI single and two-run double as Chaminade beat Wisconsin-Stout, 3-2, yesterday to complete a doubleheader sweep at Central O'ahu Regional Park.
Kasy'e Lalau pitched a five-hitter with three strikeouts for the Silverswords (6-15). Taylor Wild had two hits and an RBI for the Blue Devils (7-7).
In the opener, Chelsi Walls pitched a two-hitter with three strikeouts, Anina Quaranto had four RBIs and Val De Los Santos added three hits and two RBIs as Chaminade won, 16-0, in a game shortened to 4 1/2 innings by the mercy rule.
SAILING
ENGLISH FIRST TO ARRIVE
English racing yacht Hull & Humber won the China to Hawai'i leg of The Clipper '07-'08 Round the World Yacht Race, arriving yesterday morning at Ala Wai Harbor.
The event is a 35,000-mile race that started in Liverpool, England on Sept. 16, 2007, and will finish there in July.
The yacht New York finished second in the 4,400-mile race from Qingdao, China, arriving 10 minutes after Hull & Humber.
Teams accumulate points after each leg and the team with the most points at the end of the event is declared the winner.
South African yacht Durban 2010 and Beyond, which arrived sixth in Hawai'i, leads the overall standings with 42 points.
Yachts next travel to Santa Cruz, Calif.
