High surf advisory issued for east-facing shores

Surf along east-facing shores is expected to lower to 5 to 8 feet today, after reaching heights of 6 to 9 feet during the night.

Surf along north-facing shores will be 2 to 4 feet today.

Surf along west-facing shores will be 1 to 3 feet, occasionally 4 feet.

Surf along south-facing shores will remain 1 to 3 feet, occasionally 4 feet.

The short period trade wind swell will slowly decrease and may be lower than the 8-foot high surf advisory threshold by tomorrow. A small north swell is expected Monday.
