Two students at Pacific Ballet Academy are bound for New York City to participate in the Youth America Grand Prix International Ballet Competition, April 17 to 21.

Ka'imi Cambern, 13, won the Bronze Medal in Contemporary Ballet and the Silver Medal in Classical Ballet in the 12- to 14-year-old age group at the semi-finals in San Francisco last month. He also has been offered full scholarship to American Ballet Theater's summer intensive program and to the year-round program at The Rock School in Philadelphia.

Rochelle Chang, 16, placed in the top 12 in Classical Ballet at the semi-finals in San Francisco. For the second consective year, Rochelle has been accepted to the Kaatsbaan Extreme Ballet Summer Program, in Tivoli, N.Y.

Both Ka'mi and Rochelle have been studying ballet with Lee Olsen, Pacific Ballet Acacemy director, for eight years.

Constantine Allen, another Pacific Ballet Academy student who won the Silver Medal at the Youth America Grand Prix International Finals in 2006, is now a full scholarship student at the Kirov Academy of Ballet in Washington, D.C.
