  • "I Am Legend"

One and two discs, Warner Home Video, rated PG-13

It's the end of the world as we know it ... or so it seems to scientist Robert Neville (Will Smith) of New York City, apparently the only survivor of a deadly virus that has killed off humankind and left only a few deadly mutants. Can Neville find a way to reverse the effects of the virus by using his own blood?

The only bonus features on the single-disc edition are some animated scenes and a ROM link for additional animation, while the two-disc special edition comes with an alternative version of the movie, which includes not only a new ending but some additional scenes throughout the film.

  • "Atonement"

    Universal Studios Home Entertainment, R

Keira Knightley, James Mc-Avoy and Saoirse Ronan star in this tragic romantic tale, set primarily in the 1930s and '40s, about a lie that irrevocably alters the lives of three people.

The DVD includes a commentary by director Joe Wright, deleted scenes and two documentaries — "Bringing the Past to Life: The Making of 'Atonement' " and "From Novel to Screen: Adapting a Classic."

  • "Enchanted"

    Walt Disney Home Entertainment, PG

This modern-day fairy tale from Disney blends live-action footage with animation as a storybook princess named Giselle from mythical Andalasia is transformed into a young woman (Amy Adams) in contemporary New York City.

Bonus features include deleted scenes and bloopers; "Pip's Predicament: A Pop-Up Adventure" featuring Giselle's chipmunk pal Pip; and a documentary, "Fantasy Comes to Life."

  • "Love in the Time of Cholera"

    New Line Home Entertainment, R

Director Mike Newell's adaptation of Gabriel Garcia Marquez's novel stars Javier Bardem (recent Oscar winner for "No Country for Old Men") as a man who waits many decades to be with the woman he loves.

Special features include a commentary by Newell, deleted and alternative scenes, and a documentary, "The Making of 'Love in the Time of Cholera.' "

  • "Southland Tales"

    Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, R

From writer-director Richard Kelly ("Donnie Darko"), this apocalyptic tale — part thriller, part farce — is set in a modern-day Los Angeles facing political and environmental disaster. The ensemble cast includes Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Seann William Scott, Mandy Moore and Justin Timberlake.

The DVD's bonus features are a documentary titled "USIDent TV: Surveilling the Southland" and an animated short, "This Is the Way the World Ends."

  • "The Ice Storm"

    Two discs, Criterion Collection, R

From 1997, Ang Lee's powerful drama, based on Rick Moody's novel and set in suburban Connecticut in 1973, explores families coming apart at the seams.

In addition to a new high-definition digital transfer, the film comes with an audio commentary by Lee and producer-screenwriter James Schamus, a new documentary featuring Lee and his cast, deleted scenes, a new interview with novelist Moody and more.
