KAHALA
Meeting on $16.9M sewer project to start in April

Advertiser Staff

The city has scheduled a Tuesday public meeting to provide information about an upcoming $16.9 million sewer repair and replacement project in the Wilhelmina Rise area.

The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. in the Lili'uokalani Elementary School cafeteria, 3633 Wai'alae Ave.

The project will include replacement of approximately 600 lineal feet of defective sewer line by traditional excavation methods.

An additional 40,000 lineal feet of defective sewer line may be rehabilitated by installing a liner that will not require major excavation.

The work will affect various streets throughout Wilhelmina Rise at different stages of the project.

The work is expected to start in April and be completed within 30 months.
