Pedestrian in critical condition after Waipahu accident

Advertiser Staff

A 30-year-old Waipahu man was taken to The Queens Medical Center in critical condition tonight following an accident along Farrington Highway in Waipahu.

The man was crossing in the left lanes of the highway near Waipahu High School when he was hit by a vehicle being driven by a 29-year-old man, also from Waipahu, according to HPD.

The victim was not in a crosswalk.

Speed and alcohol did not appear to be factors in the crash, which occurred just before 12:30 a.m., HPD said.
