As a football receiver, Kaiser senior Kalua Noa's athleticism earned him O'ahu Interscholastic Association White Conference Player of the Year honors.

Three months later, it won him a similar honor in basketball.

Noa, a 6-foot-1 forward, was named OIA White Conference Eastern Division Player of the Year after a recent vote of league coaches.

Noa scored a season-high 24 points in a victory over Waipahu and helped the Cougars eventually finish fourth in the OIA White and earn a berth in the Division II state tournament.

Noa is joined on the OIA White All-Star first team by Farrington's Christian Hernandez and Bryson Tatupu-Leopoldo and McKinley's Tavita Woodard and Earvin Sione.

Hernandez is a 5-5 senior guard, Tatupu-Leopoldo a 6-4 senior center, Woodard a 6-4 junior forward and Sione a 6-5 senior forward.

Hernandez and Tatupu-Leopoldo helped the Governors advance to the OIA White championship game.

McKinley's Bob Morikuni and Farrington's Allan Silva shared Coach of the Year honors.
