'Social Lights' benefit concert series offers jazz night

Advertiser Staff

The next in an ongoing series of benefit concerts, "The Social Lights," will be held Sunday at The Honolulu Design Center's Cupola Theatre.

Dean Taba and Noel Okimoto, and Benny Chong and Byron Yasui will be featured as part of a "Jazz Night" concert. Also, Amuse Wine Bar will offer various discounts to concertgoers.

Each "Social Lights" concert will showcase some of Hawai'i's top local musicians, and will benefit the following local charities: The Autism Society of Hawaii, The Domestic Violence Action Center, The Children's Alliance of Hawaii, and The Hawaii Arts Alliance. Our goal is simply to raise support, bring awareness to the community, and to encourage involvement.

Concertgoers may enjoy the couture cuisine from Chef Jon Matsubara's Stage Restaurant, or choose from 80 different bottles of wine at the Amuse Wine Bar. With seating for 150, these shows will feature some of Hawai'i's top local musicians from different genres. A representative from each charity will be present with information, as well as answer any questions about their organization.
