AMERICAN SAVINGS BANK

American Savings Bank recently promoted Susan Lai Young to assistant vice president, financial adviser. Also, the bank has hired Al Alfonzo as a real-estate loan officer serving Maui, and Christopher McKinley as market customer service manager for East Honolulu. McKinley previously worked at People's United Bank in Connecticut.

FINANCE FACTORS

Kelly Sakai and Lisa Dela Cruz Lee have joined Finance Factors as senior loan officers. Sakai will be responsible for generating new business for residential mortgage loan sales out of the Kapi'olani Branch. She was most recently a sales associate at New Century Mortgage Corp. Lee will be responsible for business development and administering a range of residential mortgage loans. She joined the bank as senior loan officer at the Kahala branch.

PACIFIC ISLANDERS IN COMMUNICATIONS

Pacific Islanders in Communications has appointed Jose Munoz to a three-year term on its board of directors. PIC is a Honolulu-based nonprofit that supports the advancement of Pacific islander media content and talent, primarily through public television. The board is responsible for guiding the organization's policy development and administration. Munoz is an assistant professor at Guam Community College.
