SALT LAKE
Library hosting poetry, folk tales, games for kids

Local storyteller Janice Terukina is scheduled to share "local style" folk tales, poetry and games at the Salt Lake-Moanalua Public Library at 10:30 a.m. Friday.

The free 45-minute program, suitable for children preschool age and above, will be held in the library's children's area.

Terukina, an actress from Honolulu, performed with the East West Players in Los Angeles. Since returning to Hawai'i, she has appeared in numerous stage, film and television roles, including performances with the Honolulu Theatre for Youth and Kumu Kahua Theatre.
