Technology/Internet Expo April 11 in Honolulu

Tech experts Steve Bretches of IBM and Scott Kerfoot of Microsoft will be keynote speakers at the 2008 Technology and Internet Expo April 11 at the Blaisdell Exhibition Hall.

The one-day event is open from noon to 6 p.m. with special conference sessions scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The conference and seminars will focus on several key issues facing businesses today: green technology, cyber security, e-biz, medical technology, and network disaster recovery.

Bretches, a senior information technology architect who works with IBM clients to utilize best practices and methods for architecting infrastructure software environments, will speak at the business and technology roundtable.

Kerfoot, the event's E-Biz Awards luncheon presenter, is an expert on software and information technology and currently director of Strategy-Western Region for Microsoft.

The event is being presented by Oceanic Time Warner Business Class, the Chamber of Commerce of Hawai'i, and Technology News Bytes.

Registration for the conference beings at 8:30 a.m. Three seminar track sessions will run throughout the day. The cost to attend the conference is $95 per person but $75 for Chamber of Commerce of Hawai'i members.
