KA'A'AWA
New beach park comfort station will be dedicated

The city will dedicate a long- awaited comfort station at Ka'a'awa Beach Park at 10 a.m. tomorrow at 51-296 Kamehameha Highway.

The project was first requested in 2001 and construction was to begin in 2003 at a cost of $1.1 million. A septic tank issue delayed the project until 2005 and the opening was further delayed because the septic tank had to be moved, according to City Councilman Donovan Dela Cruz's office. The restroom was finally completed this month.
