Courtney Kessell pitched her 11th shutout of the season as Hawai'i Pacific defeated Cal State San Bernardino, 5-0, today in the Tournament of Champions at Turlock, Calif.

Kessell (15-1) struck out three and walked two. Anuhea Young hit a two-run homer and Nicole Kalakau added a solo shot for the Sea Warriors.

Later, Cal State Monterey Bay beat HPU, 2-1, in eight innings. The Sea Warriors fell to 26-4.

Also yesterday, Cal State San Bernardino beat Chaminade, 1-0; Cal State Stanislaus beat Chaminade, 5-0, and Cal State Monterey Bay beat Chaminade, 8-0, in five innings. Details of those games were not available.

The 18-team tournament winds up today.
