The Rodgers and Hammerstein classic musical "Flower Drum Song" is in revival, reworked by David Henry Hwang, who is best known for his smash Broadway hit, "M Butterfly." It's on stage now at Diamond Head Theatre.

Here's what Advertiser reviewer Joseph T. Rozmiarek had to say about the local production: "The plot, characters and songs are all rearranged, but the music, humor and tenderness remain. The Diamond Head Theatre production is sharp and good-looking, with good performances and most of the stereotyping stripped away."
Starring Autumn Ogawa, right, and Brad Mezurashi, it plays at 8 p.m. Thursdays to Saturdays and 4 p.m. Sundays, through April 6. There's a matinee at 3 p.m. today and April 5, and extended-run performances at 8 p.m. April 12 and 4 p.m. April 13. Tickets: $12 to $42; 733-0274, www.diamondheadtheatre.com.
