Whitmore Village man accused of gun threat

Advertiser Staff

Prosecutors have charged a Whitmore Village man with allegedly threatening another man with a gun late Thursday night in Mililani.

Jacob James Frederick Silva Jr., 29, was charged with first-degree terroristic threatening, a firearms offense, resisting an order to stop and reckless driving. Police used an electroshock-firing weapon to arrest the 6-foot, 210-pound Silva at 11:33 p.m. Thursday on Ehoeho Avenue in Whitmore Village.

According to police, Silva and a 29-year-old man were involved in a confrontation that started when Silva allegedly sped into a parking lot and nearly hit the complainant who was standing in front of a bar-restaurant. Silva allegedly "racked" and pointed a gun when the complainant approached him to complain about his driving.

Silva allegedly drove off in his truck as police were arriving.

A loaded gun was allegedly recovered from Silva's truck after his arrest.
