Water well tests start today in Anahola, Kauai

Advertiser Staff

The Kaua'i Department of Water will be testing a new water well in Anahola from 8 a.m. today through 8 a.m. Friday, and will need to shut down all existing wells in the area in order to conduct several tests.

During this period, residents may experience low water pressure and possibly water outages depending on usage and storage in the tanks.

Although water in the tanks will be available, the supply of water will be limited. Residents are asked to implement water conservation measures including: refraining from washing cars; reducing outdoor irrigation; and using water wisely indoors and outdoors.

Additional tests are planned for next week.
