Maj. Gen. Robert L. Caslen Jr., currently assigned as the commandant of cadets, U.S. Military Academy, West Point, N.Y., has been named as the commanding general of the 25th Infantry Division at Schofield Barracks.

Brig. Gen. John M. Bednarek, who has been serving as the acting commanding general, will be assigned as the commanding general of the First Army Division East at Fort Meade, Md., the Army said.
