Local exec to speak at housekeepers association meeting

The International Executive Housekeepers Association, Hawai'i chapter, will feature David Hong, president of Island Plastic Bags, as keynote speaker at its May general membership meeting.

The meeting is scheduled for 10 a.m. May 14 at the Miramar at Waikiki Hotel, Banana Patch Lounge (2345 Kuhio Ave.). Hong will speak on biodegradable products and new legislation that may impact the housekeeping industry.

Hong recently visited China to learn the latest advancements in biodegradability. He will share this information with members and show samples of what products to used and to avoid.

Industry professionals involved with housekeeping or professional cleaning are welcome to attend. The first meeting is free. Parking is $3 with validation, and refreshments will be served.
