KAILUA
Seminar will give kids head start with finances

In celebration of National Teach Children to Save Day, Kailua Public Library will host "How to Raise a Money-Smart Child," a free seminar at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday under the Reading Tree.

Conducting this 90-minute seminar will be financial adviser Carol Slusher. It is recommended for parents or grandparents and their children/grandchildren ages 4 through 12.

Slusher will teach parents and grandparents how to instill goal-setting and self-discipline ideals in children that will enable them to start making wise money choices — even at an early age.

Call the library as soon as possible if a sign language interpreter or other special accommodation is needed.

Kailua Public Library is at 239 Ku'ulei Road. For more information, call the library at 266-9911.
