Circuit Court computer records down for 3 days

Advertiser Staff

The computer system that provides public access to state Circuit Court records has been out of service for three days and the problem will continue at least through Monday, court officials said yesterday.

Going in person to the courthouse to look up records doesn't help much, since public access computer terminals there also are out of service. Clerks will try to assist public inquiries but must also attend to other work duties.

Technicians are still trying to diagnose the problem, working in conjunction with a consulting firm, Data House Inc., said courts webmaster Mark Santoki.

"It looks like it's going to take at least through Monday to restore service," he said.

The computerized system, called Ho'ohiki, is the public access point for civil, criminal, Family Court and some District Court records.
