OIA judo tourney tomorrow

Two-time defending league champion Pearl City is seeking its 12th overall boys' title heading into tomorrow's O'ahu Interscholastic Association Judo Team Championships at 'Aiea.

The eight-team tournament begins with the girls' quarterfinal round at 3 p.m.

Admission is $6 for adults, $4 for students.

The quarterfinal matchups:

GIRLS: Defending state champion McKinley (9-0), the East's top seed, meets West No. 4 Leilehua (4-3). West champion Pearl City (7-0) faces East No. 4 Moanalua (6-2-1). East runner-up Farrington (7-2) plays West No. 3 Mililani (4-3), and West runner-up Kapolei (6-1) meets East No. 3 Kahuku (7-2).

BOYS: Pearl City (7-0), the West's top seed, meets East No. 4 Kahuku (6-3). East champion Moanalua (9-0) faces West No. 4 Kapolei (4-3). West runner-up Mililani (6-1) plays East No. 3 Castle (7-2). East runner-up Roosevelt (8-1) takes on West No. 3 Leilehua (4-3).
