Spam, spam, spam, spam!

Spam, spam, spam, spam!

Come on, join in, you Spam fans. And we're not talking about those pesky e-mail bits, either. Of course we're referring to the Islands' favorite tinned, pinkish meat product that goes so good on a bed of rice.

And for Spam lovers and even Spam likers, there's today's very large sixth annual Waikiki Spam Jam, a street festival full of entertainment, Spam-focused food and more. The Jam attracted an estimated 20,000 folks last year (note to Spam haters: This festival is not going away).

Other attractions include Hawaiian arts and crafts, much Spam merchandise and the Waikiki Spam Jam Family Tent of games and prizes.

More food offerings will be available from 3 Star Catering, Coconut Willy's, Giovanni Pastrami, Gordon Biersch, K's Restaurant, Leo's Taverna, MAC 24-7, The Shack (Waikiki), Time 2 Grind and Doraku Sushi.

Let's not forget, too, that the festival is also dedicating itself to a good cause: The aim is to collect at least 10,000 cans of Spam, which will be donated to the Hawaii Foodbank.
