Sign-ups: Ex-UH star Deitre Collins at volleyball clinic

Former University of Hawaii women's volleyball star and Olympian Deitre Collins Parker will be joined by other former Olympians at the Extreme Fitness Club Olympic volleyball clinic for girls.

The clinic, for ages 13 to 18, will run June 2 to 4 at McKinley High School gym from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Other Olympians in the clinic will be Tara Cross Battle, a two-time collegiate Player of the Year and the first four-time Olympian in U.S. volleyball history, and Ruth Lawanson, a setter on the 1992 Olympic team.

Cost is $100 if registered before May 15 and $125 after.

Collins Parker was a three-time All-American at UH and the starting middle blocker for the 1988 Olympic team.
