Minor quake recorded near Mauna Loa summit

A minor earthquake of 3.1 magnitude was recorded at 1:20 a.m. today by the Hawaiian Volcano Observatory.
The quake occurred five miles north-northwest of Mauna Loa summit. Its hypocentral depth is seven miles.
