WAILUKU
Maui Memorial Medical Center fully accredited

Maui Memorial Medical Center was awarded "full accreditation" status by the Joint Commission following an unannounced, four-day, on-site assessment.

The commission's accreditation team observed patient care, assessed the facility's environment, reviewed documents and interviewed staff.

Wesley Lo, Maui Memorial's chief executive officer, said the Joint Commission's seal of approval shows the hospital is engaged in a continuous, systematic effort to improve quality and safety.

The 231-bed hospital is the island's only acute-care facility.
