Fugitive confirms extradition to Hawaii

Advertiser Staff

Honolulu prosecutors were notified today that fugitive Reginald Carlos "Red" Pettway confirmed his decision at a Mobile, Ala., hearing not to fight extradition to Hawai'i to face charges related to a May 2007 murder in Kane'ohe.

Pettway, 30, will be brought back to Honolulu on a yet-to-be-determined date.

Pettway was arrested in Alabama last week on a $2 million warrant charging him with first-degree burglary, and being an accomplice to first-degree robbery and kidnapping in connection with the May 14 slaying of Benjamin Grajeda.
