WAHIAWA
Hundreds expected for Pineapple Run Saturday

Hundreds of runners and walkers are expected to participate in the 33rd annual Wahiawa Pineapple Run on Saturday.

The 10K run, sponsored by the Central Oahu Chief Petty Officers' Association, begins at 7 a.m. at Ka'ala Elementary School on Kilani Avenue and proceeds to California Avenue, Kamehameha Highway, Kamananui Road, Wilikina Drive, then back to Kamehameha Highway and Kilani Avenue to end at the school.

Money raised for the run will support the Central Oahu Chief Petty Officer Mess community projects. The deadline to register online through Active.com is midnight tomorrow. People may also register at packet pick-up, with a $5 late charge, at Runners HI tomorrow from 3 to 7 p.m., or at The Running Room on Thursday and Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
