KAHUKU
Library to host wide variety of free classes

Kahuku Public & School Library has scheduled classes in lei making, investing and cooking this month that are free.

Today, the Kahuku High School Calabash Club will present the 2008 May Day Court at 6 p.m., which will be followed by a Mother's Day Card Craft Workshop with Jennifer Young at 6:30 p.m.

The Kahuku Book Club will discuss "The Audacity of Hope: Thoughts on Reclaiming the American Dream" by presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama at 6:30 p.m. May 13. The program is for ages 12 and older.

Banker Shawn Gormley will lead "Investments: How to Make Your Money Grow" at 6:30 p.m. May 20.

"Tasty Tidbits: Beans — the Other Protein" with Janet Simmons will take place at 6:30 p.m. May 27. Simmons will have samples and recipes to share.
