University of Hawai'i senior Becky Mabardy has been named Pacific Coast Collegiate Sailing Conference Co-Sportsperson of the Year after helping the Rainbows earn a berth to the national regatta.

Mabardy was one of five Rainbows to earn all-conference honors. She and Hannah Tuson-Turner earned Women's Skippers honors, Andrew Meade and Mike Scott received Coed Skippers honors, and Jackie McLoughlin earned Crew honors.

Meade and Scott led the coed team to a No. 16 national ranking and a berth in the Intercollegiate Sailing Association national semifinals, where it just missed earning a spot in the nationals.

Mabardy and Tuson-Turner helped the Rainbow Wahine place second in the PCCSC Women's Championship to earn a berth to the 18-school ISA Women's National Championship, May 25 to 27, at Newport, R.I.
