Suspect arrested in Nuuanu robbery

Advertiser Staff

Police arrested a 28-year-old man on Tuesday for investigation of robbery after an alleged shoplifting turned into a physical confrontation involving the suspect and security personnel.

The incident occurred at a Nu'uanu retail store at 1330 Pali Hwy. at 3:50 p.m.

David Wayne Bradshaw is being held on five misdemeanor warrants totaling $1,250 while a second-degree robbery charge is pending investigation.

Police said the suspect allegedly shoplifted $65 worth of merchandise from the store. The theft became a robbery when physical force was used in an attempt to flee from security. The entire incident was captured on security video, police said.
