STARWOOD VACATION OWNERSHIP

Starwood Vacation Ownership has appointed Anthony Edington executive chef of the Westin Ka'anapali Ocean Resort Villas. He heads the resort's culinary operations, developing recipes and menu items and overseeing hiring and staffing at the property's food and beverage outlets. Edington brings more than 20 years of experience to his new position. He joined Starwood in 1995 as executive chef of the Kapalua Bay Hotel on Maui, and also spent four years as chef de cuisine at the Westin Maui Resort & Spa. He was food and beverage manager for the Westin Ka'anapali Ocean Resort Villas.

BANK OF HAWAII

Bank of Hawaii has promoted Paula Hamilton from vice president to senior vice president of retail credit. She continues her duties as retail credit analytics and reporting manager, which includes overseeing analytics and reporting for retail loan products. Prior to joining Bank of Hawaii in 2005, Hamilton served as a risk management consultant at Wells Fargo in San Francisco.

Diane Higa has been promoted from vice president to senior vice president and IT services director at the Information Management and Systems Group. Her responsibilities include managing the core banking system applications, in addition to the service delivery functions of the Information Management and Systems group, which include the Help Desk and the Project Management Office.

Darlene-Inez "Kaleo" Keko'olani has been promoted from vice president to senior vice president of human resources. In her new role, she will continue her responsibilities as compensation and benefits manager, which entail designing, developing and administering compensation and benefit programs, including executive compensation, job evaluation, salary administration and incentive and benefit plan designs. She also will oversee human resources information systems.

Coleen Shoji has been promoted from vice president to senior vice president of Cash Management Services and Account Analysis Operations. She will continue her duties as manager, which include coordinating, planning and executing the bank's cash and treasury management sales strategy. She will also oversee the sales and marketing, servicing and development of cash management services and products for small, mid-size and large commercial and corporate banking clients. She also is responsible for the daily management of the account analysis operations department.

AMERICAN SAVINGS BANK

American Savings Bank recently hired Gregg Mikami as the strategic sourcing manager of the Contracts and Procurement Department, overseeing the bank's contracting policies. Mikami previously served as vice president and assistant general counsel for Bank of Hawaii. He has 26 years of experience in Hawai'i's banking industry, in 10 of which he worked as a private practitioner representing Hawai'i financial institutions.
